美东时间13:10，TJX公司（The TJX Companies Inc.）披露，旗下HomeGoods、加拿大TJX及国际TJX业务均实现了“极为亮眼的同店销售额增长，涨幅达6%至7%”。然而，作为公司最大业务板块、涵盖T.J. Maxx与Marshalls两大门店品牌的Marmaxx，其销售表现却不尽如人意。
在与分析师的电话会议中，首席执行官Ernie Herrman坦诚表示：“在Marmaxx，我们认为本可以在门店组合执行上做得更为出色。换言之，我们本应在正确的时间，将正确的商品配置到正确的门店中，这方面我们本可以更加精准。”他进一步补充道：“我们坚信这些问题源于自身，且属于可控范围内的事项。目前，我们已在解决这些问题的过程中取得了实质性进展。”
展望未来，Herrman指出，第三季度迄今的销售趋势正在逐步改善。他对这一积极势头能否延续至假日销售旺季持乐观态度。受此消息影响，TJX股价下跌3%。
