The 2025 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference was held from October 16 to 18 at the Expo Park in Huangpu District, Shanghai. Fang Haoze, President of RICI HEALTH and General Manager of the Health Checkup Division, attended the event and participated in discussions.

Fang emphasized that the awareness of health checkups and the education level surrounding scientific health examinations in advanced hospitals in countries like Japan and the United States far exceed those in China. He noted the urgent need for private medical enterprises to compensate for public hospitals' insufficient attention to health checkups, bringing medical upgrades to the consumer market.

He explained that medical consumption habits in China still focus on treatment after illness, whereas many foreign countries prioritize prevention before falling ill. "If private medical institutions can enhance the health checkup sector, from penetration rates to current education levels, we can elevate ourselves to a new standard that narrows the gap with Europe and the U.S. and contribute to society," he stated.

Fang also mentioned that East Asia is the leading region in the field of health checkups, even surpassing Europe and the U.S. He noted that Japan is approximately 20 years ahead of the world in health examinations, and China ranks second in Asia only behind Japan. "The only area where we lag is in understanding the concept of scientific health checkups," he said, adding, "We are not facing an impact from overseas medical checkups; instead, we should focus on how to help our citizens understand and develop a habit of scientific health checkups over five to ten years."

Interestingly, Fang encountered a fan during the event, with an audience member shouting that their entire family's health checkups were done at RICI HEALTH. In response to this amusing moment, Fang humorously replied, "Thank you, next time (for a checkup) come to me for free."
