The 2026 Intelligent Elderly Care Service Robot Application Competition will be held in Langfang from May 25 to 26. Enterprises, universities, research institutions, and innovation teams from China and abroad are eligible to register for the event.

As China's population aging accelerates, intelligent elderly care service robots have become a vital force in promoting "technology-enabled elderly care." The competition features two categories: "Rehabilitation Robot Task Challenge" and "Elderly Care Robot Task Challenge." These categories cover eight core tasks, including health management, daily life assistance, emotional companionship, mobility support, rehabilitation aid, and smart environment interaction.

For each category, one first prize will be awarded with a cash prize of 50,000 yuan. Two second prizes will be granted, each worth 30,000 yuan, and three third prizes will be given, each valued at 20,000 yuan. Additionally, outstanding teams will receive an Innovation Capability Excellence Award, with each team awarded 2,000 yuan.

The competition adopts an innovative evaluation approach focused on practical application. On-site judging will involve physical demonstrations, testing and verification, and user feedback. This method combines technical assessments with hands-on evaluations by user representatives, scoring entries based on task difficulty, functionality, application effectiveness, and safety.

Interested participants can register by submitting an application form to the email address cstc-robot@cstc.org.cn between 17:00 on April 27, 2026, and 17:00 on May 20, 2026.

Beyond providing a competitive platform, the event aims to facilitate the transformation of technological achievements into practical solutions. It is jointly organized by provincial industrial and civil affairs departments, the Langfang municipal government, and the China Software Testing Center.

The competition addresses real-world challenges in elderly care by establishing a comprehensive innovation chain that includes technology verification, demand matching, standard development, and industry incubation. This initiative seeks to establish the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region as a highland for the intelligent elderly care industry and offer insights for nationwide smart elderly care development.

Winning teams will receive support such as scenario adaptation, testing and training resources, computing power subsidies, and market access services to accelerate the transition from competition success to stable real-world performance.
