Capitalizing on the Baise Municipal Conference for the Marine-Oriented Development of the Pan-Aluminum Components Manufacturing Base targeting ASEAN, the Baise High-Tech Zone signed agreements for five advanced aluminum deep-processing projects on September 17, with total investment reaching approximately 2.6 billion yuan.
The projects are strategically aligned with the direction of advanced manufacturing, focusing on high-value-added products such as precision aluminum profiles for new energy, electronic aluminum foil, high-performance aluminum-based new materials, copper-aluminum composite materials, and wire and cable products.
Once operational, these ventures are expected to strengthen the high-end segments of the zone's aluminum industry chain, providing robust support for Baise's development strategy that is rooted in local advantages, oriented towards ASEAN, and geared towards marine trade. As a national key development and opening-up pilot zone, Baise offers favorable policies including the "five-year exemption and five-year half reduction" on the local share of corporate income tax within the China-ASEAN Industrial Cooperation Zone. Experts and business representatives at the conference expressed strong optimism about Baise's growth prospects.
Xie Xiaogang, Director of the Management Committee of Baise High-Tech Zone, commented that these projects feature substantial investment scale, high industrial relevance, and strong driving capabilities. They represent a significant achievement in the zone's efforts to deepen opening-up and cooperation, undertake industrial transfers, and expand into the ASEAN market. With the completion of the Pinglu Canal and its opening to navigation, Baise has gained a major waterway to the sea, transforming from being "the southwestern dead end" into a frontier of openness.
The Baise High-Tech Zone will seize the major opportunities presented by the New Western Land-Sea Corridor and the Pinglu Canal Economic Belt development. By leveraging carrier platforms such as the "Baise No.1" domestic and international freight trains and the Baise Logistics Hub Port, the zone aims to establish a complete industrial chain covering "raw material input, production and processing, and finished product export," thereby driving the pan-aluminum components manufacturing sector towards greater marine-oriented development.
