MEXAN Limited (Stock Code: 22) has announced that BDO Limited resigned as its auditor effective 22 October 2025. According to the company’s board of directors, the resignation was due to an inability to agree on the proposed audit fee for the financial year ending 31 March 2026, following changes in the group’s business segments.
BDO confirmed there are no other issues needing to be brought to the attention of securities holders. MEXAN Limited’s audit committee and board indicated they are unaware of any disagreement with BDO regarding the resignation, adding that no material impact is expected on the group’s annual audit for the current financial year as BDO had not yet commenced work on the FY2026 audit.
To fill the vacancy, MEXAN Limited has appointed Forvis Mazars CPA Limited as its new auditor. The audit committee selected the new firm based on its qualifications, industry experience, familiarity with regulatory requirements, and independent standing. The board and audit committee concluded that Forvis Mazars meets the group’s audit needs and that this change is in the best interests of the company and its stakeholders.
