Shares of FAMEGLOW (03774) continued their upward momentum, climbing over 14% in early trading to hit HK$19.95, with turnover reaching HK$13.66 million at the time of writing.
The rally follows the recent announcement from Hang Seng Indexes Company regarding its quarterly index review results, which confirmed that FAMEGLOW will be added to the Hang Seng Composite Index. The change is scheduled to take effect after the market close on September 4 and become active from September 7. Following this adjustment, both the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges will correspondingly update the list of eligible securities under the Stock Connect program, making the stock a potential candidate for inclusion in the southbound trading channel.
Its inclusion appears likely as FAMEGLOW has met a series of requirements covering market capitalization and liquidity thresholds. Adding to the positive sentiment, the company announced last month that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Soo Kei Yuen Chong Hong Kong Limited, has entered into a technology development agreement with Hong Kong-based AI firm Sunseeker Technology. Under the partnership, the two parties will leverage Sunseeker's proprietary core AI models to develop a dedicated AI-powered anti-aging mobile application, jointly advancing the digital and intelligent "AI plus anti-aging" sector.
