On September 16, numerous users on social platforms revealed that WeChat chat now supports sending Live Photos. Media inquiries to WeChat customer service confirmed that this feature is currently only available for iOS clients, requiring client version 8.0.61 or above (Android/HarmonyOS versions are being adapted). When chatting, users can select Live Photos from their album to send, with the Live Photo feature disabled by default. When sending photos, users can click to enter the large image preview page to manually enable the Live Photo switch for individual photos. Friends can view the complete effect by tapping the "Live Photo" button in the lower left corner after opening the large image, and the Live Photos can also be saved to the phone's system album. Additionally, models such as iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, and SE do not currently support this feature. Customer service also indicated that this feature is being gradually rolled out, and users should stay tuned for subsequent feature updates.
WeChat Launches "Intelligent Reply" for Official Accounts
Previously, WeChat announced on the 11th that it has launched an "Intelligent Reply" feature for official accounts. The first step is to enable the digital avatar. In the official account PC backend under "Interaction Management," click "Auto Reply" to activate "Intelligent Reply." The "Intelligent Reply" will automatically learn your historical article information, reply language style, and other characteristics. Once completed, it can serve as a "digital avatar" to respond to backend private messages. Users can also customize their "digital avatar" by adding knowledge bases and writing prompts. This capability is powered by Tencent's Hunyuan large model. "Intelligent Reply" is currently fully available to individual creators. This means backend message notifications will no longer pile up, eliminating the frustration of not having multiple arms to handle everything.
