BIOHEART-B (02185) has announced that the Iberis® multi-electrode renal artery radiofrequency ablation catheter system (Iberis® RDN system), developed by its subsidiary Shanghai Antong Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (Antong), has recently completed its registration in Thailand. This registration was achieved with the joint support of Biosensors International Group, Ltd. (Biosensors, a subsidiary of Blue Sail Medical Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 002382) and one of the business entities under its cardio-cerebrovascular business segment) and Antong. Antong and Biosensors have established a strategic partnership for the commercialization of the Iberis® RDN system, with the collaboration covering multiple regions including, but not limited to, European Union countries, the Asia-Pacific region, and Latin America (LATAM). As of the date of this announcement, the Iberis® RDN system is the world's only renal denervation (RDN) product approved for use via both the transradial approach (TRA) and the transfemoral approach (TFA). The TRA method makes RDN procedures safer, more effective, and more cost-efficient. The ultimate goal is to make outpatient RDN surgery available to patients globally. Antong had previously obtained the CE Mark for the Iberis® RDN system in Europe in 2016.
