On 20 March 2026, Zhejiang Expressway Co., Ltd. (“Zhejiang Expressway”) confirmed the election of Ms. Liu Yiying as the employee director for the company’s tenth board session, effective immediately and running through 30 June 2027. The appointment was approved at the employee representatives’ meeting held the same day.
The move follows shareholder approval on 20 March 2026 of a special resolution abolishing the Supervisory Committee and amending the Articles of Association. Under the revised governance framework, the board now includes one employee director elected by employee representatives.
Ms. Liu, born in 1982, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Zhejiang University and a Master’s Degree in Science from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her career began in July 2005 and includes senior roles in human resources and party affairs across Zhejiang Communications Investment Group and its expressway operation subsidiaries. She currently serves as Deputy Party Secretary, Secretary of the Discipline Committee, and Chairman of the Labour Union at Zhejiang Expressway.
The newly appointed director will receive remuneration only for her existing management roles and no additional fees for her board position. The company confirmed that Ms. Liu: • has held no other directorships in listed public companies over the past three years; • maintains no relationships with existing directors, senior management, or major shareholders; • holds no shares or related interests in Zhejiang Expressway under Part XV of Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Ordinance.
Zhejiang Expressway’s board now comprises: Chairman Yuan Yingjie, executive director Li Wei, employee director Liu Yiying, non-executive directors Zhao Xilong, Fan Ye and Huang Jianzhang, and independent non-executive directors Pei Ker-Wei, Lee Wai Tsang Rosa, and Yu Mingyuan.
