HMVOD Limited announced the appointment of Mr. Kong Pak Leung Patrick (alias Patrick Kong), a well-known Hong Kong film producer, screenwriter and director, as a non-executive director, effective 24 July 2026.

Mr. Kong, aged 51, holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hong Kong Baptist University and is recognised for directing top-grossing urban romance films such as “Marriage with a Fool”, “Love Is Not All Around”, “L for Love, L for Lies” and “Anniversary”. He was nominated for Best New Director at the 26th Hong Kong Film Awards, and co-wrote “Men Suddenly In Black”, nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the 40th Golden Horse Awards.

The Board expects Mr. Kong’s industry expertise and network to enhance the Group’s strategic direction in media and entertainment content and partnerships.

Key terms of engagement: • Tenure: one-year term commencing 24 July 2026, subject to rotation and re-election in accordance with GEM Listing Rules and the Company’s articles of association. • Remuneration: HK$30,000 per month plus a 13th-month payment equivalent to one month’s fee, with annual review by the remuneration committee. • Independence: Mr. Kong holds no shares in HMVOD, has no other roles within the Group, no listed directorships in the past three years, and no relationships with directors, senior management, or substantial shareholders.
