Big techs narrowed their gains. Tesla turned negative after an initial 2% rally; Nvidia shrinks gains to less than 1%.
Tesla said on Thursday it is recalling 46,096 Cybertruck vehicles in the U.S. over an exterior panel that can detach while driving, after more than six call-backs for the pickups last year.
Tesla is recalling the vehicles over issues of the cant rail - a stainless-steel exterior trim panel - delaminating and detaching from the vehicle, it said.
Nvidia will spend hundreds of billions of dollars on chips and other electronics manufactured in the US over the next four years, its chief executive has said, as the company tilts its supply chain back from Asia in the face of Donald Trump’s tariff threats.
