Data released on December 19 by the Xinhua Petroleum Price System showed that the average price change rate for a basket of crude oils on December 18 was -3.57%. According to China's petroleum pricing mechanism, domestic gasoline and diesel prices are adjusted every 10 working days based on changes in international crude oil prices, with adjustments taking effect at 24:00 on the day of announcement. If the price adjustment is less than 50 yuan per ton, no change will be made, and the difference will be carried over to the next adjustment. Under special circumstances as defined by the regulations, price adjustments may be suspended, delayed, or reduced in scope.
December 19 marks the ninth working day of the current pricing cycle, with the adjustment window set to open at 24:00 on December 22. This round of adjustments is expected to bring a reduction in domestic gasoline and diesel prices, with an estimated decrease of around 165 yuan per ton.
