GAUSH MEDITECH Ltd announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Gaush Neotech Ltd, has entered into a five-year exclusive agency agreement with Germany-based Heidelberg Engineering GmbH covering the T3 corneal confocal microscopy device.

Under the terms of the agreement, Heidelberg Engineering will serve as the sole distributor of the T3 system in all markets outside the People’s Republic of China. In addition to sales, Heidelberg will undertake worldwide marketing and provide related technical services for the product.

The T3 corneal confocal microscope, developed and manufactured in-house by Gaush Neotech, enables in-vivo observation of the cornea and conjunctiva. Clinical applications include assisting physicians in diagnosing infectious and non-infectious corneal diseases, keratoconus, surgery-related and traumatic lesions, dry-eye conditions, and systemic disease-related corneal changes.

The two companies have a longstanding relationship: since 1998, GAUSH MEDITECH has acted as the exclusive distributor of Heidelberg’s ophthalmic imaging systems in China. The new arrangement extends their cooperation to a global scale (excluding China) and further integrates Gaush Neotech’s diagnostic technology with Heidelberg’s established international sales network.
