Danish Shipping Firm to Temporarily Take Over CKH Holdings' Panama Port Operations, Foreign Ministry Responds

On February 2, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian presided over the regular press conference. A Reuters correspondent inquired that, according to reports, a Danish shipping company stated it would temporarily take over the port operating rights of CKH HOLDINGS in Panama. This follows a ruling by the Supreme Court of Panama that the concession held by the Panamanian port company (a subsidiary of CKH HOLDINGS) was unconstitutional. What is China's comment on this matter?

In response, Lin Jian stated: "We have previously articulated China's position on the matter concerning the relevant ports in Panama. China will resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises."
