The extended holiday further boosted travel demand during the break, with orders for trips taken between the second and fifth days of the Lunar New Year increasing by approximately 30% year-on-year. What were the new travel trends during the holiday? As the Milan Winter Olympics delivered exciting news from the competition venues, enthusiasm for snow and ice tourism in China also soared. Fliggy data indicates that orders for snow and ice tourism during the Spring Festival holiday more than doubled year-on-year, with popular skiing destinations including Changbai Mountain, Songhua Lake, Yabuli, Chongli, and General Mountain. Data shows that during this year's Spring Festival holiday, hotel room nights in Jilin Province increased by about 80% year-on-year, ticket orders grew by approximately 50%, and customized tours rose by 70%. Tonghua, Liaoyuan, and Yanbian saw the highest growth rates. Additionally, this Spring Festival holiday saw a new trend of using AI to help order meals, book flights and hotels, and purchase movie tickets. Among these, AI-powered travel service bookings experienced a significant surge. Throughout the holiday, AI-related orders on Fliggy increased by over 800% compared to the pre-holiday period. The most popular service was simple and affordable AI-booked tickets, with orders surging more than 24 times. Emei Mountain Scenic Area, Huangshan Scenic Area, and Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden were the top destinations for AI ticket bookings. Due to their ease of use and reasonable planning, more high-value services are also being completed by AI. Among these AI orders, the average transaction price for air tickets exceeded 700 yuan per ticket, while the average price for hotel bookings was close to 300 yuan per night. Popular destinations for AI-booked hotels included Hangzhou, Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan, and Zhengzhou.
