On December 21, a scholarship distribution ceremony titled "Caring for Xinyuan Students, Supporting Dreams" was held in Xinyuan County, Yili Prefecture, Xinjiang. A charitable enterprise from Yangzhou, thousands of miles away, granted 60,000 yuan in scholarships to 20 economically disadvantaged university students in Xinyuan County, illuminating their academic paths and warming the hearts of these high-achieving yet underprivileged scholars.
The ceremony was filled with warmth as representatives from the sponsoring company gathered with the recipients and their families, witnessing this act of kindness bridging vast distances. Officials from Xinyuan County detailed the students' family backgrounds, academic performance, and support needs, while the students and parents expressed gratitude and shared their aspirations for the future.
Tang Chaowen, Deputy Secretary of Xinyuan County Party Committee and head of the Yangzhou Aid Team in Xinjiang, remarked, "For years, our team has worked diligently in Xinjiang, supported by numerous enterprises and individuals contributing to industrial, livelihood, and educational aid, deepening the bond between our regions."
Wei Demao, Chairman of Yangzhou Jinhongyu Property Co., Ltd., stated, "Our company upholds the principle of 'Prosperity with Responsibility, Education for Talent,' consistently acting to fulfill social responsibilities. This scholarship initiative is another step in our ongoing commitment."
Since 2021, Jinhongyu has focused on educational philanthropy, aiding over 180 students from primary to tertiary levels. A representative from Xinyuan's education department emphasized, "Despite the distance, students here feel Yangzhou's warmth. We encourage them to transform this generosity into motivation, striving to contribute to their families and communities in the future."
Previously, Jinhongyu also donated 80,000 yuan to Yili Prefecture and Huocheng County's work committees, bringing its total contributions to 140,000 yuan.
