It has been confirmed that the position of President at Qianjiang Telecom, left vacant after former president Xiong Tao's transfer to a similar role at Xiaogan Telecom, has now been filled. The successor is Zhou Junlong.
So, where did Zhou Junlong come from? According to information, Zhou has actually been working at Qianjiang Telecom for several years. Since 2023, he has frequently appeared in public as the Deputy General Manager of Qianjiang Telecom, organizing and participating in community care activities such as "Summer Coolness Delivery" visits and helping to launch the public welfare brand "Love Station (Wing) Station" initiative.
During his tenure as deputy manager, he focused on the digital and intelligent transformation of older urban residential communities. He led the establishment of a dedicated task force for complete community projects, introduced a co-creation concept for construction and operation aimed at enhancing quality of life, and successfully guided the company in winning related project bids, contributing to growth in revenue from industrial digitalization and other services.
However, there is limited publicly available information regarding his earlier career history. Based on media photos, Zhou Junlong appears relatively young, energetic, and is described as approachable and a team player, making this promotion unsurprising.
Qianjiang City's economic scale within the province is not particularly large, with a full-year 2025 GDP of 101.45 billion yuan. Nonetheless, its growth rate reached 6.5%, indicating considerable development potential.
This appointment marks Zhou Junlong's first role as the General Manager of a prefecture-level city branch for China Telecom, signifying a corresponding promotion to the rank of a principal-level cadre. It is believed that with strong performance, his future career prospects could become even more distinguished.
