This year's National Day holiday coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival, creating an eight-day "super golden week." With an additional three days of personal leave, travelers can extend this to a twelve-day super-long holiday. This unique holiday structure has sparked diverse travel demands.

Recently, Trip.com Group Limited, Fliggy, and Qunar, three major travel platforms, have successively released National Day tourism trend forecast reports. What new highlights will this year's golden week tourism bring?

**"Multi-Destination Tours" Trend Prominent, Cost-Effective Destinations Favored**

During precious holidays, travelers highly value time efficiency. This year's Mid-Autumn and National Day holiday shows a more pronounced trend of multi-destination "串游" (串游), with increasing numbers of tourists hoping to explore multiple cities during one long vacation. Fliggy data shows that as of now, per capita bookings for transportation services including flights, train tickets, and car services have increased approximately 4.2% compared to last year, with further upward momentum. High-speed rail and "flight + high-speed rail" multi-destination touring features are particularly significant, with per capita bookings up 7% year-over-year. Meanwhile, typical multi-destination travel products such as long-distance tours and car rentals have seen booking increases of 53% and 93% respectively compared to last year.

Under this trend, inter-provincial border tourism continues to gain popularity, with cities at provincial intersections offering diverse experiences becoming hot choices for this year's National Day. Trip.com Group Limited data shows that domestic inter-provincial border cities' holiday order volumes have increased 58% year-over-year. Among these, Zhaotong, which combines ethnic customs and natural landscapes from Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan provinces, saw holiday booking orders increase 95% year-over-year; Hezhou, located at the intersection of Guangxi, Hunan, and Guangdong, famous for its karst landforms and ancient town culture, recorded an 88% year-over-year order increase; Ganzhou, situated at the intersection of Jiangxi, Guangdong, Hunan, and Fujian provinces, attracted numerous tourists with its Hakka culture and revolutionary history, achieving a 70% year-over-year order increase.

Cost-effectiveness remains a key focus for travelers. As of two weeks before the holiday, some destinations still maintained flight and hotel prices that hadn't risen significantly, offering outstanding value. Domestically, hotel prices in areas such as Qinghai's Huangnan, Guangxi's Laibin, Hainan's Chengmai, Guangdong's Yunfu, and Sichuan's Meishan remain below last year's levels. For outbound travel, Xishuangbanna-Vientiane flights cost under 500 yuan including taxes, while Guiyang-Hong Kong and Xi'an-Phnom Penh routes are under 700 yuan. Hotel-wise, Manila's average nightly rate is under 400 yuan, while Jakarta and Okinawa average under 700 yuan per night.

**Emphasis on Experience Over Check-ins, "Autumn Viewing" Becomes National Day Tourism Search Keyword**

Compared to "check-in style tourism," emotional value is now becoming the core factor in travelers' destination choices. On Trip.com Group Limited's platform, hotel search popularity for distant destinations like Xinjiang, Tibet, and Inner Mongolia has risen 60% year-over-year, with customers primarily from first-tier and new first-tier cities. The vast grasslands and unique landscapes naturally create soul-healing scenarios that satisfy "office workers'" inner need to relax and return to nature.

Travelers' focus on emotional value is also reflected in tourism product choices. Composite products featuring "scenery + culture + experience" are welcomed, such as "lying in hotel bed watching golden mountain sunrise," "courtyard hot spring stargazing," "forest villa with red panda companions," and "Yangtze Three Gorges riverside homestay viewing Wushan clouds and rain." Temple meditation retreats, intangible cultural heritage crafts, and local cultural workshops are also highly favored, making travel more meaningful for physical and mental healing.

During golden autumn, autumn viewing themes have significantly warmed up. "As long as autumn viewing is possible, with fewer crowds and reasonable prices, anywhere is fine," according to pre-holiday user research by Qunar Travel. This generation of users prioritizes "gameplay" over "destinations," with most having no single destination preference, preferring to choose the best experience within a category of destinations.

Qunar Big Data Research Institute analysis shows that during National Day, tourists' travel patterns are shifting from specific city "check-ins" to focusing more on personal experience and choosing from "pan-destinations" within categories. With numerous suitable autumn viewing destinations offering highly substitutable scenery, locations with more convenient transportation, fewer crowds, and lower comprehensive costs attract more tourists.

According to Qunar platform data, popular autumn viewing destinations include Sichuan's Aba Jiuzhaigou, Kanas's Altay Burqin County, Jilin's Antu County near Changbai Mountain, and Guangxi's Yangshuo, all ranking in the top ten for hotel bookings. Jiangxi's Wuyuan, with its unique "autumn drying" landscapes, has attracted numerous tourists. Fujian's Pingtan Island, now in fishing season, and Zhejiang's Chun'an County, home to Thousand Island Lake, have also become popular National Day destinations. Trip.com Group Limited data shows that the Jiangsu-Zhejiang region, with its "water town autumn charm, mountain forest autumn colors, and coastal autumn light" triple matrix, has seen hotel popularity rise over 20%. Destinations like Suzhou's Zhouzhuang, Wuxi's Yuantouzhu, Ningbo's Xiangshan, and Zhoushan's Daqing Mountain have shown significant heat increases.

**Zhejiang Tourism Heat Continues Rising, Multi-Platform Data Shows Strong Consumer Vitality**

Based on data from the three major travel platforms, Zhejiang's tourism market heat continues rising during this year's National Day holiday, showing characteristics of diverse customer sources, consumption upgrades, and active bidirectional domestic and international activity.

Fliggy platform statistics show that as of mid-to-late September, Zhejiang Province's Mid-Autumn and National Day holiday tourism bookings increased 52% year-over-year, with average order values up 15%, reflecting simultaneous improvements in tourist consumption willingness and quality. Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Wenzhou are the province's most popular destinations, while Taizhou and Zhoushan have emerged as the fastest-growing dark horse regions.

Trip.com Group Limited data further confirms Zhejiang tourism's attractiveness. Popular attractions include Old Dragon Well Eighteen Imperial Tea Trees, Daqi Mountain National Forest Park, West Lake boat tours, OMG Heartbeat Paradise, and Tianyu Mountain Observation Deck.

With the continued boom in inbound tourism, Zhejiang has also become an important window for foreign tourists to experience Chinese culture during National Day. Qunar Travel data shows foreign tourists' National Day bookings now cover nearly 100 domestic cities. Among cities most popular with foreign visitors, Hangzhou ranks 6th, with others being Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Qingdao, Shenyang, and Kunming. Trip.com Group Limited data shows Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xiamen, Qingdao, Hangzhou, and Xi'an have become popular inbound tourism destinations.

While attracting external tourists, Zhejiang residents' travel enthusiasm remains high. Trip.com Group Limited data shows Zhejiang residents' popular travel destinations are Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Nanjing.
