Frencken Group posts 1Q26 revenue of 202.0 million Singapore dollars

Frencken Group Limited reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of 202.0 million Singapore dollars, down 6.4 % year on year, according to a business update released on May, 19 2026.

The company recorded a gross profit margin of 14.4 % versus 14.8 % a year earlier, while net profit attributable to shareholders fell 20.2 % to 8.0 million Singapore dollars after a foreign-exchange loss of 1.1 million Singapore dollars.

Revenue from the Mechatronics division declined 7.7 % to 180.4 million Singapore dollars as lower contributions from semiconductor and analytical life-sciences customers in Europe outweighed continued growth in Asia. Semiconductor sales eased 7.0 % to 98.8 million Singapore dollars, medical sales rose 5.0 % to 34.7 million Singapore dollars, analytical life-sciences revenue dropped 21.2 % to 36.2 million Singapore dollars, and industrial automation revenue held steady at 7.6 million Singapore dollars.

The Advanced Parallel Solutions division generated 20.5 million Singapore dollars of revenue, a 4.3 % increase from the prior year, supported by a 12.0 % rise in automotive sales to 15.8 million Singapore dollars, which offset weaker consumer and industrial electronics revenue of 3.9 million Singapore dollars.

As at Mar, 31 2026, total assets were 774.3 million Singapore dollars, including cash of 142.0 million Singapore dollars. With borrowings of 26.6 million Singapore dollars, the group’s net cash position stood at 115.4 million Singapore dollars and its debt-to-equity ratio was about 5.5 %. Net asset value was 1.13 Singapore dollars per share.

Looking ahead, Frencken expects first-half 2026 revenue to be broadly in line with the previous year, anticipating higher semiconductor revenue from its Asian operations but lower contributions from its European semiconductor and analytical life-sciences businesses. The company projects stronger momentum in the second half of 2026, underpinned by anticipated recoveries in European semiconductor orders and ramp-up of automotive radar antenna production.
