Ride-Hailing Sector Sees 1.069 Billion Orders in August, Ministry Reports

Data from the ride-hailing regulatory information exchange system shows that as of August 31, 2026, a total of 402 ride-hailing platform companies had obtained operating permits nationwide, remaining flat compared to the previous month. The system received 1.069 billion ride orders during August.

Looking at the August figures, several key trends emerge. Among the top 10 platforms by order volume, ranked by order compliance rate (the proportion of orders where both driver and vehicle hold valid permits) from highest to lowest, are 喜行约车, 如祺出行, 及时用车, 享道出行, T3出行, 曹操出行, 阳光出行, 首汽约车, 滴滴出行, and 花小猪出行.

Of these, ride-hailing aggregation platforms (which connect passengers with multiple ride-hailing companies) completed 347 million orders, with daily average orders growing 7.5% month-on-month. Their compliance rankings from highest to lowest are 滴滴出行, 花小猪出行, 高德打车, 百度打车, 携程用车, 腾讯出行, and 美团打车.

Among major cities, the compliance ranking from highest to lowest is 深圳, 厦门, 广州, 成都, 杭州, 济南, 重庆, 青岛, 南京, 南宁, 南昌, 合肥, 福州, 宁波, 西宁, 郑州, 天津, 海口, 长春, 长沙, 石家庄, 贵阳, 昆明, 太原, 呼和浩特, 大连, 乌鲁木齐, 上海, 银川, 拉萨, 武汉, 西安, 兰州, 哈尔滨, 沈阳, and 北京.

A total of 24 cities, including 深圳, 厦门, 广州, 成都, 杭州, 济南, 重庆, 青岛, 南京, 南宁, 南昌, 合肥, 福州, 宁波, 西宁, 郑州, 天津, 海口, 长春, 长沙, 石家庄, 贵阳, 昆明, and 太原, achieved compliance rates above 80%. The top three cities for month-over-month compliance growth were 呼和浩特, 石家庄, and 青岛, while the bottom three were 长沙 (-1.9%), 哈尔滨 (-2.8%), and 兰州 (-3.4%).
