Recently, the Management Committee of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area issued the "Implementation Plan for Further Accelerating the Construction of a City-Wide Artificial Intelligence Hub (2026-2027)." The plan outlines the development of an intelligent terminal industry district. It involves planning and constructing a specialized industrial cluster for intelligent terminals, utilizing a shared factory as its core to establish a "1+3" common service support base, thereby propelling terminal products towards greater intelligence, personalization, and ecosystem integration.
The initiative will focus on the efficient operation of the intelligent terminal shared factory, offering comprehensive small-batch trial production and pilot-scale services across the entire chain, including module design, secondary algorithm development, and flexible assembly. It will also organize "Geek Entrepreneurship Camps" to support teams in developing innovative terminal products. A high-standard AI Glasses Innovation Center will be established, integrating pilot platforms for technologies such as silicon-based OLED displays and micro-nano optics.
Efforts will concentrate on building an AI Toy Creative Base, attracting top-tier design resources to create consumer-grade hit products. Furthermore, the plan calls for accelerating the construction of an R&D foundation for AI health wearables. Leveraging the National Sports Health Artificial Intelligence Public Innovation Platform, the area will develop cutting-edge terminals like professional-grade sports bracelets and brain-computer interfaces.
