The company cancelled 251,634 ordinary shares of GBP 0.05 each on Apr, 16 2026, trimming its outstanding share count by about 0.00997 % to 2,524,577,721 shares.
Prudential also reported that 552,924 repurchased shares—254,593 acquired on Apr, 15 2026 at an average GBP 11.1534 and 298,331 bought on Apr, 16 2026 at an average GBP 11.2418—remain to be cancelled.
The 298,331 shares repurchased on Apr, 16 2026 were bought on the London Stock Exchange at prices between GBP 11.185 and GBP 11.315, for a total consideration of approximately GBP 3.35 million (about 5.7 million Singapore dollars).
These transactions form part of the buyback mandate approved on May, 14 2025, which authorises repurchases of up to 262.67 million shares. To date, about 82.42 million shares—representing 3.16 % of the share base at the time of approval—have been repurchased under this mandate.
Prudential is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until May, 16 2026 following the latest buyback.
