China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, along with other government departments, announced on September 9th the official recognition of eleven new professions, which include ship shore-based management engineering technicians, embodied intelligent robot application technicians, and sports data analysts.

In addition to these new professions, the announcement also designated twenty-three new job roles, such as community workers, low-altitude logistics operators, and home adaptation designers for the elderly. Furthermore, the information for six existing professions, including agricultural product brokers, has been revised and updated.

Among the newly unveiled professions, five are classified as digital occupations and three as green occupations. This latest addition brings the national total of officially recognized digital and green occupations to 113 and 142, respectively.

In the modern services sector, the new professions and roles introduced cater to both enterprise development and industrial upgrading. Examples include sustainable development planners, airport obstacle clearance inspectors, and AI agent developers. Simultaneously, other new roles directly address the public's aspirations for a better quality of life, such as incense crafting artisans, smart furniture installers and adjusters, and fresh-cut flower processors.

Since 2019, China has cumulatively released 121 new professions across eight batches.
