Hainan Meilan International Airport Company Limited (the “Company,” HKEX: 357) has entered into a new electricity supply agreement (the “Electricity Supply Agreement”) on February 13, 2026, with Hainan Holdings Energy. The agreement covers the year ending December 31, 2026, and sets out continued procurement of electricity for the Company.
Under the agreement, Hainan Holdings Energy will supply electricity through the Hainan Electricity Transaction Centre, with pricing based on both fixed and market-linked rates. The peak-valley floating mechanism may apply if relevant. In addition, the Company has authorized Hainan Holdings Energy to handle green electricity trading and certificate settlement services.
The annual transaction cap for 2026 is set at RMB100.00 million. This figure factors in past transaction volumes (RMB19.25 million in 2024 and RMB82.62 million in 2025) alongside the Company’s estimated power needs for the coming year. The new arrangement reflects updated requirements set by the Development and Reform Commission of Hainan Province, as well as both parties’ efforts to secure favorable electricity pricing.
Hainan Holdings Energy is classified as a connected person of the Company by virtue of its affiliation with Hainan Airport Infrastructure, which holds approximately 62.38% of the Company’s issued share capital. As the highest percentage ratio of this transaction exceeds 0.1% but remains below 5%, the arrangement is subject to reporting, announcement, and annual review obligations under Chapter 14A of the Listing Rules. It does not require issuance of a circular or independent shareholder approval.
Hainan Meilan International Airport Company Limited is primarily engaged in aeronautical and non-aeronautical operations at Meilan Airport in Hainan Province, China.
