GWMOTOR Buys Back 3.10 Million H-Shares for HKD 24.71 Million, Treasury Stock Rises to 14.53 Million

Great Wall Motor Company Limited (GWMOTOR) has disclosed that on 28 August 2026 it repurchased 3.10 million H-shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging between HKD 7.86 and HKD 8.00 per share, translating into a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 7.98 per share. The total consideration amounted to HKD 24.71 million.

The buyback reduced GWMOTOR’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) by 0.13% to 2.30 billion shares, while treasury shares held by the company increased to 14.53 million. All repurchased shares have been retained as treasury stock; none have yet been cancelled.

The transaction forms part of the repurchase mandate approved on 26 June 2026, which authorises the company to buy back up to 230.77 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now stand at 14.53 million shares, representing 0.63% of the shares outstanding on the mandate’s approval date.

In accordance with Hong Kong Stock Exchange regulations, GWMOTOR is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 27 September 2026. The company affirmed that all repurchase procedures complied with the Main Board Listing Rules and relevant legal requirements.
