According to MEITUAN-W data, high-frequency riders nationwide earned an average monthly income ranging from 6,949 to 10,201 yuan in the first half of 2025. The skilled rider group known as "Le Pao" achieved monthly earnings of 12,826 yuan in tier-1 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
Since the second quarter, amid high temperatures and peak order volumes, high-frequency riders across all city tiers have seen their average monthly income increase by more than 20% year-over-year.
In terms of benefits, the "Occupational Injury Protection for New Employment Workers" (rider work injury insurance) has been expanded to 17 provinces and cities starting July 1st. MEITUAN pays premiums per order, ensuring coverage for every order and every rider. Since the pilot program began in 2022, the company has accumulated premium payments exceeding 1.5 billion yuan through the first half of this year.
