As Daxing Airport marks its seventh anniversary of operation, the '925 Air Travel Carnival' series of themed activities was officially launched on the fourth floor of the terminal on September 24th.
As a key highlight of the opening ceremony, the airport teamed up with airlines and digital content creators to unveil seven new service products under the 'Xingxiang Shicheng' service brand. These offerings span core travel touchpoints, including check-in, security screening, boarding, and international departures. The airport introduced an industry-first 'early arrival, universal check-in' service for international flights, breaking away from the traditional dedicated-counter model to offer greater flexibility and convenience. It also became the first in China to allow domestic passengers to check in a full day before their flight, effectively allowing travelers to handle formalities for tomorrow's journey today. Its 'one-ID boarding' paperless process enables passengers to move through check-in, security, and boarding using just their national ID card. All domestic security checkpoints now feature an 'Easy Security' lane, saving an average of about three minutes per passenger. On the Beijing-Guangzhou express route, voluntary inter-airline ticket transfers have been launched. The airport also debuted a China-Russia aviation product and introduced an intelligent customer service system that provides instant, accurate answers without waiting in line or making phone calls, ensuring service is always at hand.
The opening featured a stunning 'New National Gateway, Stylish Airport' themed fashion show and traditional lion dance performances, showcasing the airport's unique charm and energizing the audience. The Moscow Tourism Committee and China Eastern Airlines presented tourism resources, while a memorandum of understanding on cooperation was signed between Daxing Airport and the Hainan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism to promote quality travel offerings. Across the venue, nearly 70 exhibition booths were set up by domestic and international airlines, airports, local cultural and tourism authorities, and enterprises, offering travelers a wealth of flight and travel information, interactive activities, and exclusive travel perks.
In addition, the airport launched the third season of its 'Detective' interactive game and a special seventh-anniversary boarding pass, providing passengers with even more engaging experiences to discover during the event. Throughout the festivities, the airport also brought together more than 40 organizations, including cultural and tourism departments from Beijing, Hainan, and Guangzhou, along with airlines, airports, and travel agencies, to discuss aviation-tourism integration, route network development, and cross-border travel products.
On the same day, the airport hosted an 'Intimate Passenger Alliance' open day, creating a two-way dialogue with its flyers. The event gathered frequent flyers and aviation enthusiasts for in-depth discussions on travel service pain points, genuine passenger feedback, and process refinements, turning listening into action and promises into reality.
Since opening seven years ago, Daxing Airport has continuously expanded its domestic and international route network, now hosting 72 airlines and connecting to more than 210 destinations worldwide. It has handled over 1.69 million flights and served more than 238 million passengers, including over 41 million travelers so far in 2026.
