Qualcomm announced today the launch of its 4th generation Snapdragon 7s mobile platform, which integrates more powerful and energy-efficient Qualcomm Kryo CPU and Qualcomm Adreno GPU, supporting WFHD+ 144Hz and HDR10+ displays. With enhanced on-device AI computing power, the 4th generation Snapdragon 7s also supports AI-enhanced imaging features such as video super resolution (initial device lineup has not yet been announced).
According to Qualcomm's official website, the 4th generation Snapdragon 7s mobile platform adopts a 4nm manufacturing process, with CPU performance improved by 7% and GPU graphics rendering speed enhanced by 7%. It features a low-power artificial intelligence system and supports on-device generative AI. The new platform also supports Adaptive Motion Engine 3.0, which can enhance gaming scenarios to up to 4K resolution through Snapdragon Game Super Resolution technology.
The 4th generation Snapdragon 7s mobile platform features a flagship-grade 8-core design and supports on-device generative AI, capable of generating text, photos, and other content, or providing real-time assistance with enhanced speed and privacy protection. Additionally, the Qualcomm Sensing Hub is equipped with dedicated AI processors that enable noise reduction and other contextual applications.
The new platform also supports Wi-Fi 4/Wi-Fi 5/Wi-Fi 6/Wi-Fi 6E, 5G+5G and 5G+4G dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.4, and other connectivity features.
According to previous reports, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor has appeared on the GeekBench benchmark platform, with a CPU configuration of 4 Cores @ 1.80 GHz + 3 Cores @ 2.40 GHz + 1 Core @ 2.71 GHz. The test device was identified as Xiaomi REDMI Note 15 Pro+, achieving scores of 1,228 points in single-core and 3,230 points in multi-core performance.
