Samsonite Repurchases 1.43 Million Shares for HKD 20.63 Million, Lifting Treasury Stock to 93.08 Million

Samsonite Group S.A. (Samsonite) disclosed a share buyback on 28 May 2026, purchasing 1.43 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for an aggregate HKD 20.63 million. The trades were executed within a price range of HKD 14.28 to HKD 14.67 per share, producing a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 14.4361.

The repurchased shares represent 0.104 % of Samsonite’s outstanding share capital (excluding treasury shares) as of the previous day. Following the transaction, the company’s treasury stock rose to 93.08 million shares, while outstanding shares declined to 1.37 billion. Total issued shares remain unchanged at 1.47 billion.

The buyback was carried out under the general mandate approved on 3 June 2025, which authorises the repurchase of up to 138.31 million shares. To date, Samsonite has repurchased 13.78 million shares under this mandate—equivalent to 1.00 % of the company’s issued share base at the mandate’s approval date. A 30-day moratorium on new share issues or treasury-share sales is in effect until 27 June 2026.
