Hong Kong property stocks experienced a broad-based increase. Henderson Land (00012) rose by 3.65%, Sun Hung Kai Properties (00016) gained 2.11%, Hang Lung Properties (00101) advanced 2.18%, New World Development (00017) climbed 1.2%, and Hysan Development (00014) added 0.84%.

Citi published a report on the Hong Kong real estate sector, stating that its initial October 2025 forecast of just a 3% rise in Hong Kong residential property prices for 2026 has proven to be overly conservative. With the actual full-year 2025 increase reaching 4.7% (including a 1.2% rise in November and a 0.8% gain in December), and prices having accumulated a further 1% increase year-to-date in 2026, the bank has revised its forecast.

The firm's latest update revises the 2026 Hong Kong residential property price forecast upwards from a 3% increase to an 8% increase. It further anticipates an acceleration in price growth for 2027, signaling the beginning of a multi-year upward cycle.
