Bank of Shanghai has announced the successful completion of its second financial bond issuance for 2026, raising a total of RMB 20 billion in the interbank bond market. The issuance, which was approved by the People's Bank of China, underwent bookbuilding on September 11, 2026, and was fully distributed by September 15, 2026.
The bonds, designated as the 2026 Second Tranche Financial Bonds, carry a fixed annual coupon rate of 1.58% with a three-year maturity period. Bank Of Shanghai Co.,Ltd. intends to allocate the raised funds in accordance with applicable regulations and regulatory approvals to support its asset-liability management strategy.
The proceeds will be channeled toward strengthening the bank's funding base, optimizing its liability duration profile, and fostering sustained business growth.
