During the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, Shaanxi Province's consumer market demonstrated steady performance. According to monitoring data from the provincial Department of Commerce, 570 retail and dining sample enterprises across the province achieved sales revenue totaling 2.062 billion yuan during the holiday period. Daily necessities remained in ample supply, while the trade-in policy continued to yield positive effects and a variety of promotional activities were enthusiastically received.
The retail sector in Shaanxi performed notably well during the holiday, with sample enterprises recording sales of 1.852 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.41%. Regionally, multiple areas achieved double-digit growth, with Yulin leading the province at 31.79%, followed by Shangluo, Hanzhong, and Ankang. Key retail enterprises showed strong growth momentum: Hualian SKP and砂之船奥莱 saw sales rise by 30.29% and 14.21% year-on-year, respectively.
Dining consumption also saw vigorous activity, with sample enterprises generating revenue of 210 million yuan, up 10.76% compared to the same period last year. Both dine-in and takeaway services contributed to the growth, with revenues increasing by 9.44% and 27.47%, respectively. Nine cities and districts, including Ankang, Hanzhong, and Xi'an, reported growth in dining revenue, with Ankang taking the lead at 18.41%. Prominent dining brands performed exceptionally well, with Luckin Coffee experiencing a revenue surge of 50.65%.
A wide array of promotional activities further stimulated the market. Shaanxi Province launched the "Shop in China · Bright Life in Shaanxi" Spring Consumption Season, with over 840 promotional events organized across the region. Xi'an’s themed event, "Shop in China · Enjoy Chang’an," attracted 4.3137 million visitors to the Tang Paradise, generating 220 million yuan in consumption. Xianyang City’s "Lucky Invoice" campaign spurred 7.9 million yuan in spending, while Yan’an distributed 13 million yuan worth of consumption vouchers. Cities such as Hanzhong, Baoji, Tongchuan, and Weinan also held integrated events featuring local specialties, intangible cultural heritage experiences, and winter shopping activities, creating a province-wide consumption boom.
The trade-in policy proved highly effective during the holiday period, driving 516 million yuan in consumer spending in Shaanxi. Demand for digital and smart products was particularly strong, with an average of 13,500 trade-in applications per day—a 46.13% increase compared to pre-holiday levels. Sales at Xiaomi Auto and Suning.com in Xi'an rose by 29.6% and 20% year-on-year, respectively. As of February 22, the province had recorded a cumulative 757,200 trade-in transactions, stimulating 5.4 billion yuan in consumption.
Throughout the holiday, the supply of daily necessities remained stable in Shaanxi, with the total wholesale transaction volume of eight major categories of essential goods reaching 23,000 tons—a slight increase from the previous year. Prices remained generally steady, ensuring smooth market operations.
