Hong Kong-listed BAIWANG CO announced on Wednesday afternoon that its interim shareholder meeting had passed a resolution with 100% approval to appoint Chen Hang, founder of DingTalk, as a non-executive director, effective immediately after the gathering concluded. According to the filing, Chen's term runs through the current board's tenure and is subject to re-election. His annual compensation is set at 100,000 yuan, with no additional meeting allowances provided.
The announcement notes that Chen, aged 49, brings over two decades of experience in enterprise software and AI-driven digital management. As the creator of DingTalk, he spearheaded the product's development from 2014 to 2020 and returned as its CEO from March 2025 to June 2026. His expertise spans government-enterprise digital transformation and the practical deployment of large language models in corporate settings.
Founded in 2015, BAIWANG CO operates as an enterprise leveraging authentic transaction data and financial expertise, with artificial intelligence at its core to enhance business decision-making and intelligent execution. It listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in July 2024, earning the title of "the first e-invoice stock." Earlier, following his departure amid the "Inside Ding" controversy, rumors circulated that Chen had rejoined Alibaba, but these were subsequently denied by official sources.
