Agricultural Bank Of China Limited announced that it has received approval for Liu Hong to assume the roles of Executive Director of the company, as well as member of the Board's Strategic Planning and Sustainable Development Committee and the Rural Finance, Agriculture, Farmers and Inclusive Finance Development Committee, with the appointments taking effect immediately.

Liu Hong, born in August 1968, holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Peking University and is a Senior Economist. He was appointed Vice President of Agricultural Bank Of China Limited in August 2023 and became Deputy Secretary of the Bank's Party Committee in August 2025. His previous positions include Deputy General Manager of the Human Resources Department, Deputy Director of the Office, President and Editor-in-Chief of China Urban-Rural Financial News (a secondary department), Director of the Board of Supervisors Office, Supervisor, President of the Qinghai Provincial Branch, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Organ Party Committee and Secretary of the Organ Discipline Inspection Commission, General Manager of the Human Resources Department/Rural Finance, Agriculture, Farmers and Inclusive Finance Human Resources Management Center, and Chief Director of Rural Finance, Agriculture, and Farmers Business. He currently also serves as Vice Chairman of the China Financial Education Development Foundation and a Council Member of the National Party Building Research Association.
