On November 22, 2025, SPT ENERGY (01251) announced that it had received formal notification from PERUPETRO S.A., the Peruvian state oil company, confirming its successful qualification through the bidding process. The company secured the development rights for Block 6 of the Talara Oilfield in Peru, obtaining the signing authority for the hydrocarbon extraction license agreement.

The group will oversee the full development and operation of the block, with an oil extraction period spanning 30 years. Located in the Talara Basin of Piura Province, Peru, the Talara Oilfield is the birthplace of the country's petroleum industry, with well-established resource conditions.

SPT ENERGY plans to implement a comprehensive approach, including well rehabilitation, new drilling, and enhanced oil recovery technologies, to systematically advance the project. The goal is to stabilize production while achieving steady growth and high-quality development.

During the bidding process, the group leveraged its technical expertise, mature project management experience, and international service capabilities in oilfield development. It strategically selected blocks with mature production potential while avoiding high-risk zones to minimize initial investment risks and ensure stable long-term operations.
