Morgan Stanley released a research report stating that XIAOMI-W (01810) launched its flagship smartphone series, the Xiaomi 17 series, on Thursday (25th), featuring three models: the 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. The Pro and Pro Max models are equipped with innovative new rear screens, representing a breakthrough in design. Combined with excellent product quality and attractive pricing, Morgan Stanley believes the Xiaomi 17 series sales performance is likely to exceed expectations. Such new products could accelerate Xiaomi's market share growth in the high-end smartphone segment.
Morgan Stanley maintains a "Buy" rating on XIAOMI-W with a target price of HK$62, positioning the stock as its top industry pick.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has launched "customization services" for its electric vehicle business. The service will introduce five new custom colors, two new interior designs, and other new features such as custom logos and seat belts. Although initial quantities are very limited at only 40 vehicles per month, Morgan Stanley believes the "customization service" will become a key competitive advantage for Xiaomi's electric vehicles. Once the new electric vehicle factory's utilization rate improves, the "customization service" is likely to expand to most models, helping Xiaomi maintain a robust flow of new orders.
