AEM SGD (AWX.SI) shares soared 13.50% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the release of stellar half-year financial results and an upgraded full-year outlook that underscored the company's strong momentum in the AI-driven semiconductor testing market.
The semiconductor test-equipment maker reported a net profit of S$30.79 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026, a staggering 875.6% surge from S$3.1 million in the prior-year period. Revenue climbed 29.9% year-on-year to S$247.21 million, driven by robust demand from a major fabless AI and high-performance computing customer. The company also raised its FY2026 revenue guidance for the second time, to a range of S$630 million to S$680 million, up from the previous S$550 million to S$600 million, and declared an interim dividend of 2.4 Singapore cents per share.
Analysts reacted positively to the results, with DBS Group Research maintaining a buy rating and S$11.80 target price, noting that AEM seems poised to benefit from the AI-driven test cycle. The higher full-year guidance implies a 55% to 75% increase in second-half revenue compared to the first half, reflecting strong confidence in the company's growth trajectory.
