China National Investment & Guaranty (CNIG) issued a statement on April 23 clarifying recent fraudulent activities. The company reported that it has received information indicating that unauthorized parties are falsely using CNIG's name, claiming that the company has partnered with "Nippon Life India Asset Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd." or "NAMS" and has provided underwriting services for financial investment products associated with NAMS. Additionally, certain entities have misused the name of CNIG's subsidiary, CNIG Technology Financing Guarantee Co., Ltd., to display what they claim are financial licenses issued by regulatory authorities, misleading the public. CNIG strongly condemns these illegal acts and reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies.
CNIG emphasized that both the parent company and its subsidiary hold valid Financing Guarantee Business Operation Licenses issued by competent authorities and conduct financing guarantee and other approved businesses within the scope of these licenses. Neither CNIG nor its subsidiary holds any other type of financial license, such as those for banking, insurance, securities, or funds. Any financial licenses or permits displayed under the company's or its subsidiary's name are forged or misused.
The company further stated that neither CNIG nor its subsidiary has any cooperative or business relationship with the aforementioned entities. They have never issued any guarantee or underwriting documents for any investment or wealth management products operated by these parties. All transactions conducted by the relevant unauthorized individuals are unrelated to CNIG and its subsidiary, which bear no legal obligations or responsibilities for such activities.
