Bilibili Denies Rumors of Mandatory Membership: False Claims, Legal Action to Be Taken

On the afternoon of December 11, a screenshot circulated online claiming that, "To strengthen the foundation of the community ecosystem, ensure sustainable high-quality content creation, and provide users with a more stable, high-definition, and diverse viewing experience, starting from March 1, 2026, all video resources on Bilibili will require a paid membership for full access, with basic bullet chat features also tied to membership privileges."
In response, Bilibili's customer service stated, "This is false information, and we will pursue legal action against the rumor-mongers. We urge everyone not to believe or spread online rumors."
