At the XPeng Tech Day 2025 event, XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) CEO He Xiaopeng discussed the importance of open-source initiatives, drawing parallels to Meta's release of LLaMA, Alibaba's open-sourcing of Qwen, and DeepSeek's sharing of its models. "We will embrace open source because progress is what matters most," he emphasized.

He explained XPeng's decision to open-source its SDK, stating, "For a company to excel in core technology, computing power, data, engineering, customer satisfaction, NPS, and ENPS—without risk aversion—everyone must move forward together."

With nearly RMB 10 billion in annual R&D investment and 11 years of operation, XPeng is committed to open collaboration. "We hope more partners, including Volkswagen as mentioned today, will join us in advancing the industry to a new stage," He added.
