Recently, China's Ministry of Commerce and Spain's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise jointly hosted the China-Spain Trade and Investment Matching Event in Madrid. More than 300 representatives from Chinese and Spanish enterprises and business associations in sectors including agricultural and food products, new energy vehicles, power batteries, machinery manufacturing, cross-border e-commerce, finance, and tourism participated. This matching event provided a platform for economic circles from both China and Spain to enhance exchanges and strengthen connections.
Industrial And Commercial Bank Of China Limited, serving as the Chinese chairman of the China-Spain Enterprise Advisory Committee and chairman of the Spanish-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, is the first Chinese bank to enter Spain. Under the guidance of China's Ministry of Commerce, ICBC fully leveraged its global customer advantages and the role of ICBC Europe Madrid Branch as a local institution, actively assisting in inviting enterprises from energy, manufacturing, telecommunications, aviation, logistics and other sectors to participate in the matching event, providing full support for the successful hosting of the event. Meanwhile, relying on platforms such as the China-Europe Enterprise Alliance and the China International Import Expo, the bank actively provides high-quality financial services for China-Spain trade and investment, facilitating exchanges and cooperation between enterprises from both countries.
2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Spain comprehensive strategic partnership and the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic relations. ICBC will continue to leverage its global network layout and comprehensive service advantages, using financial strength to continuously support enhanced connections between Chinese and Spanish enterprises, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and continue to contribute more ICBC strength to China-Spain and China-Europe economic and trade cooperation.
