A new project aimed at the resourceful utilization of 30,000 tonnes of spent lithium iron phosphate batteries annually has been officially inked in Qintang District, Guigang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The agreement was signed on September 18, marking a significant step forward for the local adoption of the "4+3" modern industrial system and the expansion of its new energy sector.
The initiative, spearheaded by Hangzhou Zhongwu Yishun Technology Co., Ltd., entails a total investment of approximately RMB 600 million and will occupy about 135 mu of land. The facility is designed to encompass feedstock storage, battery pre-treatment, hydrometallurgical recovery, environmental protection measures, and supporting utilities, positioning itself as a high-quality venture in the circular economy of new energy waste.
Once the plant reaches full operational capacity, it is projected to generate an annual output value of RMB 785 million and contribute approximately RMB 71 million in taxes each year. Additionally, the project is expected to create around 130 employment opportunities for the region. Established in October 2025, the investing company's business scope includes new material technology R&D, IoT technology development, and the sale of chemical products (excluding those requiring permits).
