这家今年2月才成立的企业，在尚未产生营收且未推出产品的情况下创下巨额融资纪录，彰显出穆拉蒂在人工智能领域日益激烈的顶尖人才争夺战中的强大号召力。Thinking Machines宣称其研发方向将打造比竞争对手更安全、更可靠且应用场景更广泛的人工智能系统，创始团队中近三分之二成员来自OpenAI。
自去年9月突然离职OpenAI后，穆拉蒂成为ChatGPT制造商离职高管创业潮中的最新代表。此前，达里奥·阿莫代伊创立的Anthropic与伊利亚·苏茨克沃创立的Safe Superintelligence均已吸引大批OpenAI前研究员加入，并各自筹集数十亿美元资金。
