Sources revealed on September 6 that the Ministry of Finance is set to issue 300 billion yuan in special treasury bonds in the near term, designated to bolster the core Tier 1 capital of eight central financial enterprises.

On the same day, these institutions — including Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Export-Import Bank of China, China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, PICC Group, China Life Group, China Taiping, and China Reinsurance Group — each unveiled their respective capital increase plans.

Industry analysts note that this move by the Ministry of Finance represents a proactive and forward-looking strategy to fortify these financial entities in advance. It is viewed as a decisive step to foster high-quality development among central financial enterprises while underpinning the stability and long-term resilience of the broader economy.
