At the "Low-Altitude Air Network" experience day event for Meituan's drone delivery service, Mao Yinian, Vice President of Meituan and head of the drone business unit, delivered a keynote speech titled "Low-Altitude Logistics: A New Paradigm for Instant Delivery."

Discussing Meituan's goals for low-altitude logistics, Mao Yinian used Shenzhen as an example, stating that the air network aims to cover entire districts and eventually the entire city, with more aggressive delivery timelines compared to the past. "For instance, the shortest distances can be reached in 10 minutes, slightly longer routes in 15-20 minutes, and cross-district deliveries are controlled within 30 minutes, which is difficult to achieve with current ground delivery networks," he explained.

Furthermore, Mao Yinian emphasized the vision of "ubiquitous and always available" service. "Ubiquitous" refers to broader coverage, while "always available" means the drones can operate stably day and night, regardless of weather conditions such as wind or rain. According to Mao Yinian, Meituan's drone service has already completed over 900,000 commercial orders, ranking second globally. The service covers more than 200,000 product categories and is currently operational in cities including Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
