Tower Semiconductor's stock price surged 5.12% in pre-market trading on Monday following positive news regarding its defense sector business.
The movement comes after the company announced a partnership with Axiro Semiconductor to deliver high-performance radar beamforming integrated circuits (BFICs) built on Tower's Silicon Germanium (SiGe) technology. These ICs are fabricated in Tower's U.S. facilities, strengthening secure domestic supply chains for critical U.S. defense applications.
The announcement highlights that Axiro's new Ku and X-band BFICs are ramping to volume production and set a new performance benchmark, positioning both companies as key players in delivering secure foundry services for next-generation defense radar and satcom applications. Tower Semiconductor will also be attending the upcoming SPIE Defense and Security 2026 conference.
