Artificial intelligence, low-altitude intelligent systems, and other frontier industries are rapidly gaining momentum in Tibet, with a wave of local science and technology innovators putting down roots on the plateau and striving to write a new chapter of modernization at high altitude.
In the exhibition hall of a local digital enterprise, a self-developed smart AI mouse, powered by the DeepZang Tibetan large language model, can perform voice recognition and real-time translation across Tibetan, Chinese, and English. An employee of a Tibet-based digital technology company, Dainzin Norbu, said that technology ultimately serves people in their real-life scenarios, and the company applies new AI technologies to serve all ethnic groups in Tibet, which is also part of its commitment to forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.
In the Lhasa High-Tech Zone, companies are focusing on the high-altitude low-altitude intelligent sector, confronting extreme conditions such as low temperatures, low pressure, and strong winds on the plateau. High-tech enterprises have independently developed vertical low-altitude large models, overcoming technical bottlenecks in drone endurance and wind resistance in frigid environments, and building a matrix of low-altitude intelligent products suited to the plateau.
Li Xiaotong, an employee of a Tibet-based intelligent technology company, said that as a high-tech enterprise dedicated to exploring the frontiers of the low-altitude economy, the company has built a dual-tier development layout linking Sichuan and Tibet, independently developed a low-altitude intelligent agent platform, opened up a channel for the integrated development of the low-altitude economy and the plateau digital economy, and created a number of high-altitude miracles.
Wang Chao of the Lhasa High-Tech Zone Management Committee said the zone will continue to gather scientific and technological innovation resources, cultivate fertile ground for innovation, support local enterprises in tackling key core technologies, promote the local transformation of scientific and technological achievements, guide enterprises to base themselves on Tibet's realities, turn technological advantages into industrial advantages, and foster and strengthen new quality productive forces.
Today, more and more high-tech enterprises are taking root on the snowy plateau, using independent innovation to break new ground and industrial implementation to empower development, injecting a steady stream of scientific and technological strength into the new Tibet chapter of Chinese-style modernization.
