VersaBank has announced that its founder and president, David Taylor, was named Executive of the Year by the Canadian Lenders Association at the Canadian Financial Summit held on May 28, 2026.
Taylor stated, "I am honored to be recognized as Executive of the Year by the Canadian Lenders Association. This award reflects another milestone year for VersaBank, as we continue to lead in innovation within the North American point-of-sale financing sector. Our recent advancements in real-time point-of-sale financing are further strengthening our platform, expanding our reach, and enhancing the value we deliver to our cross-border partners."
The Canadian Lenders Association's Executive of the Year Award recognizes leadership, innovation, and contribution within the Canadian financial services sector. The award focuses on senior executives from banks, fintech companies, and financial institutions who have demonstrated exceptional performance and strategic impact over the past year.
This recognition comes as VersaBank demonstrates strong financial performance. According to the company's previously released fiscal year 2026 first-quarter results, total assets reached $6.15 billion, a 24% year-over-year increase; revenue reached $36.5 million, a 31% year-over-year increase; and adjusted net income was $12.2 million, a 49% year-over-year increase. The U.S. Structured Receivables Program serves as the core growth engine, and the bank is on track to add at least $1 billion in new U.S. SRP financing during fiscal 2026.
