At the 2025 Zcool Design Week, Wu Xinhong, founder, chairman, and CEO of MEITU, delivered a keynote speech.
Wu stated that AI enables more people to become designers while elevating professionals into "super designers." By frequently utilizing AI tools, designers are now deeply involved in cross-disciplinary creative processes.
"Traditional designers rely on tools like Adobe Suite and Figma to handle visual creativity and execution in projects. In the AI era, super designers not only use conventional visual tools but also leverage AI extensively for cross-domain innovation, actively participating in functional definition, technical trade-offs, market operations, and business decisions," Wu explained.
The design industry is rapidly evolving under the AI wave. Wu highlighted three key trends: First, AI has shifted from "experimental use" to "deep collaboration," integrating into most designers' workflows. Second, designers now possess team-level capabilities, expanding their roles from purely "visual design" to "full-chain R&D." Third, AI design tools have advanced from basic "prompt-based" interactions to precise "node-based workflows."
"With Zcool's 18 million professional users driving creativity, we believe massive design workflows will catalyze transformative synergies across vertical design fields," Wu added.
