Hong Kong banking stocks saw a rebound in morning trading after several consecutive days of decline. At the time of writing, Standard Chartered PLC (02888) had risen by 4.50%, trading at HK$176.60. HSBC Holdings PLC (00005) had increased by 3.16%, reaching HK$134.
